Kaverns of Kfest by Kevin Savetz Created during Kansasfest 2016 for the Hackfest, this game by Kevin Savetz represents his first effort to write a machine language program on the Apple II. Using the arrow keys to move in various directions, your ship collects green blocks and avoids grey blocks and the walls of the ever-descending cavern. This is version 1.1, which improves on the hackfest entry with a score and final wrap-up.

Five members of one family are pitted against five members of another family. Each team's goal is to guess the results of audience survey questions, which of course are all about the Apple ][. Hilarity ensues! Hosted by Kevin Savetz and assisted by Ken Gagne.

Kansasfest 2015: Interviews: Save the community's stories, by Kevin Savetz. I have done dozens of interviews of Atari people for the ANTIC podcast, from CEOs, to coders, magazine publishers to manual writers, to at-home crackers. By doing so, I've created a trove of oral history about the early computing community. (Bonus: In the process, I've unearthed source code and design documents that have never before been public.) I'll share some particularly interesting snippets, and tell you exactly...

Rob McMullen and Kevin Savetz are two Atari 8-bit podcasters who are huge fans of the classic platform game Jumpman. They interviewed the author, Randy Glover, in the Antic podcast interview series and discovered that the source code is likely lost forever. They began reverse engineering the Atari 8-bit version using Omnivore (Rob's Linux/Mac/Windows program for reverse engineering 8-bit disk images) with the intent to create new levels and add new features to the game. They will demo Omnivore...

Scavange: a text adventure game for the Atari 8-bit computer, written in Atari BASIC, with a spelling error right there in the title. I wrote this game circa 1988. It's a scavenger hunt that I wrote for use by callers to Weird City BBS (I still remember the number: 213-273-5234.) I don't know if anyone ever played it.
